The VW Transporter was carrying Romanian season workers home from Slovenia, when the driver - who was broadcasting live on Facebook at the time - hit an oncoming gravel truck while overtaking another vehicle.
The accident, which occurred in Central Hungary on 22 May, left everyone in the minibus dead, while the truck driver walked away with slight injuries.
As the investigation revealed, the 38-year-old driver of the VW did not hold a valid licence, and Romanian authorities revoked his vehicle’s MoT two months before the accident.
(The scene towards the end of the video does not show the crash in question.)

doesn’t this look like a divided highway? Looks like the sand truck may have been going the wrong way on a divided highway.

Yes, I see what you mean, but the road is a single-carriageway one with 2x1 lanes.

gah... had the same thing happen here about a month ago
5 dead 4 seriously wounded.. romanian season workers on their way to a job (stretch of road known to be dangerous)
unrelated
this one somehow only ended in minor injuries... despite getting hit by 2 18 wheelers

Wouldn’t be an Audi SUV, as the tail light is the wrong shape and mounted to the body, not the hatch. Wish I could see the tire size so I know if we’re looking at a crossover on 20" or 22" wheels, or a car on 18-19" wheels.

Looks like a mk5 Golf. Both tail light and head light lenses seem correct. Aftermarket wheels obviously.

Yup - that’s a mk5 Golf with OEM euro R32 wheels....so probably a Golf R32!
